Hello. If you are reading this, I am no longer blogging on this blog. But, there are almost 250 posts, so feel free to look through them. Even though it won't be new music, it'll still be good music.

*This is 12/23/13. I changed the polls slightly so that you can vote until 1/1/24. That's almost ten years from now. I at least wanted any people who happened to be visiting to be able to vote. I didn't extend it any longer because this blog will either get deleted or aliens will cause mass chaos by deleting the internet or murdering that huge satellite in space.

Favorite Songs #5

This will possibly be the most detailed post I have ever made. It might be very long....so grab some popcorn and you'll soon understand why I love this song.
I have talked about this song before, and every single time I listen to it, I feel very happy and press repeat about four times until my cat walks in front of the computer screen and tells me to stop.
I am going to completely dissect this song and show you why it's awesome....so watch out. Let's list some reasons why it is the best song in the entire universe and see how many reasons we end up with.

  1. Good lyrics.
  2. Lyrics that make you think.
  3. The lead singer's voice.
  4. The rhythm.
  5. The chord progressions on the guitars.
  6. The soft drum beat at the beginning of the song.
  7. Up until 0:12, the way you can just feel something awesome about to come.
  8. The scream that fades away, it's around 0:13
  9. The way the instruments come together perfectly, starting at 0:14
  10. 0:24, when the singing begins and the guitars die down just a little bit
  11. At 0:25, you can start to hear the chord progressions changing. It accompanies the singing in a perfect way. It doesn't match the singing, but it's just....perfect.
  12. 0:35....the singing is just perfect
  13. At about 0:38 you can hear a high pitched sound that adds to the intensity of the song.
  14. At 0:40, you can hear a weird noise in the background which adds to the awesomeness.
  15. The verse blends smoothly into the chorus, which starts at 0:46.
  16. The singing during the chorus is perfect.
  17. 1:08....just perfection
  18. The verse starts up smoothly again.
  19. 1:33...the chorus just comes in at the perfect time.
  20. 1:54, let's just say that I think the transitions are perfect. In this song, every word and note blends smoothly into the next. It doesn't sound forced.
  21. The little scream at 2:06.
  22. The guitar solo that starts at 2:14 and all of the music leading up to the that.
  23. 2:25
  24. All of the oohs
  25. The entire guitar solo
  26. The singing at 2:45
  27. The singing at 2:52
  28. 3:03, another perfect transition
  29. 3:15
  30. The end of the song, which is my least favorite part, because the song ends, but I feel like they closed it nicely.
There. I gave 30 reasons why this song is awesome.
