Undergroundmusicblog announcements

Hello. If you are reading this, I am no longer blogging on this blog. But, there are almost 250 posts, so feel free to look through them. Even though it won't be new music, it'll still be good music.
So . . . bye.

*This is 12/23/13. I changed the polls slightly so that you can vote until 1/1/24. That's almost ten years from now. I at least wanted any people who happened to be visiting to be able to vote. I didn't extend it any longer because this blog will either get deleted or aliens will cause mass chaos by deleting the internet or murdering that huge satellite in space.
Thought you might want to know that my friend has a blog, and we are very alike. http://www.electricperspectivemusic.blogspot.com/
Yeah.
Oh well. Yeah. This blog is kind of . . . dead.
I guess this is goodbye. Again. Because it's a second goodbye, it's awkwarder, so there's no way to wrap this up. But I'm not a writer or anything, and this is the internet, so I can cut myself off midsentence and add three little dots afterwards . . .

Bands I used to like #9

Youtube is being very slow, so I can't really access songs and show them to you with ease.
In fact, every time I open up youtube, it freezes within about ten seconds.
First World Problems.
Oh well.
Blogger is starting to freeze as well. That would be a bit more of a problem.
I don't want to deal with youtube. It's being difficult.

So what I'll do is I'll take a scroll through my iPod and show you another band that I no longer like, because there's bound to be at least three more.
Oh dear, that didn't take long.
It's Shine Bright Baby.
I have mentioned them before. The first time I mentioned them, the blog had just started and I was telling you guys about their song Beautiful Love. The whole post and link to the song is here: http://undergroundmusicblog.blogspot.com/2013/09/shine-bright-babys-new-song-beautiful.html
I briefly stated that I didn't like them too much anymore in this post: http://undergroundmusicblog.blogspot.com/2013/10/why-do-they-have-to-ruin-things-i-love.html
And here is just a bunch of their old songs: http://undergroundmusicblog.blogspot.com/2013/11/shine-bright-baby.html
And I have a feeling that I might have said their band name in another post or two, but that doesn't matter.

Let's list some positives about this band, because there are a few.
  • The lead singer is amazing. Really powerful, and I personally think that she could be better than Hayley Williams if more people know about her.
  • Nice lyrics...very nice lyrics.
  • The instruments, guitar, bass, drums, are amazing.
  • Their song "Hourglasses"
And now for the reasons why I no longer like them.
  • They went pop.
  • *Also, I believe they changed their line-up a bit. I'm not sure exactly when, but that could be a reason why they sound different.

I feel extremely let down when an awesome rock band comes out with an album that is completely pop. The only thing that still makes it appealing to people is that the lead singer is still talented, and the words and meaning of the songs are more complex than artists like Ke$ha could ever make.
If you click on the old posts I listed just a paragraph or two ago, you can find some songs by them and see for yourself if you like their sound or not.
