Undergroundmusicblog announcements

Hello. If you are reading this, I am no longer blogging on this blog. But, there are almost 250 posts, so feel free to look through them. Even though it won't be new music, it'll still be good music.
So . . . bye.

*This is 12/23/13. I changed the polls slightly so that you can vote until 1/1/24. That's almost ten years from now. I at least wanted any people who happened to be visiting to be able to vote. I didn't extend it any longer because this blog will either get deleted or aliens will cause mass chaos by deleting the internet or murdering that huge satellite in space.
Thought you might want to know that my friend has a blog, and we are very alike. http://www.electricperspectivemusic.blogspot.com/
Yeah.
Oh well. Yeah. This blog is kind of . . . dead.
I guess this is goodbye. Again. Because it's a second goodbye, it's awkwarder, so there's no way to wrap this up. But I'm not a writer or anything, and this is the internet, so I can cut myself off midsentence and add three little dots afterwards . . .

Icon for Hire's new album

They've released a new album. It's out on iTunes.
It's really different. It seems to take a bunch of nursery rhymes and add a dark, alternative rock, electronic twist to it.
Here's Nerves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPlKQ7afsL8
The rest of the songs should be in the suggested videos. I have yet to listen to more songs.
A lot of their fans are saying that this album isn't as good. It's definitely different. From what I've heard so far, it's generally slower. The singing in some songs is WAY more powerful than the ones on their previous albums. They seem to have added more electronic touches, and I haven't heard many instruments from the orchestra playing in the background, which I heard a lot on some of their older songs.
The format of the songs are generally the same. There are really good lyrics that stick in your head without being too pop-ish. The message of the songs are pretty much the same, which is a good sign that the rest of the album I haven't listened to will be awesome. They're not changing their opinions on what they believe it.
One thing that I don't like is that more electronics have been added and less instruments. At some points in their songs, the electronics just totally fit and complete the song. At other points it's just too much and ruins that part of the song. Also, at points the singing just sounds kind of...too different. Like....it doesn't really fit or help the song....
Also...I think my least favorite song from them so far is "Think I'm Sick." It's an example of everything I just listed I didn't like.
What do you think?
